Anyone can be tested!
It is an oral swab PCR test.
There are no out-of-pocket costs to the business, organization, or patient when testing with us.
Every individual tested is required to provide a form of identification (State ID, Driver's License, Passport, Visa, etc.) If insured, we also need a copy of the insurance card.
Results are typically available within 1-3 days. Samples collected on Saturday/Sunday are sent with Monday samples. These weekend test results are typically available Tuesday.
Patients will receive results to the email address they provided at the time of the testing. If positive, patients will also receive a phone call or telehealth visit from one of our highly trained providers on the initial day of the result, again on day 7, and then again on day 14. This serial follow-up is provided for several reasons:
We use a qPCR test which is 99% sensitive and 99% specific. This simply means that the test is highly accurate in detecting the virus, even if the patient has no symptoms and is highly accurate if you have no detectable virus.
Yes, saliva testing for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is as effective as the standard nasopharyngeal tests, according to a new study by investigators at McGill University. JAMA Intern Med. 2021;181(3):353-360 In addition, saliva tests are simpler, more comfortable, and don't required a trained nurse.
Yes! We use a saliva based PCR test that requires a simple swab of the inside of both oral cheeks. No uncomfortable nasal swab needed.
The process for the initial registration and administration of the test typically takes approximately 6-7 minutes.
PCR tests are HIGHLY accurate in detecting the virus, even if asymptomatic, whereas the rapid antigen test is far less accurate. PCR tests are also widely accepted by airlines, surgery centers and schools. In fact, some airlines will only accept PCR test results for travel.
We strive to make testing as convenient as possible for our patients. Our technicians come on-site to your business, organization, school, church or event to administer the test.
We strive to be as available to our community as possible and can offer testing on a daily or weekly basis, as you would deem necessary.
